Happy father’s day weekend, everyone!
For this week’s post, I have chosen a painting with a family theme. We took our kids to the beach often when they were young, and as my son was an avid sandcastle builder, I thought I would capture the scene. That’s my foot sticking out of the water and my son Max with the sandcastle that somehow looks like a wedding cake. My wife doesn’t usually wear a bathing cap, but it suited the composition.
The paint seems to be applied in an almost slap-dash manner, but somehow it all holds together and I think it captures the atmosphere of the beach.
