The Bible, a compelling compendium of ancient wisdom, thrilling stories, mythic characters and more, twisted out of shape by churches everywhere. One such thrilling story is that of Samson, Herculean hero until brought low by the seductive Delilah, who learns that the secret of his strength lies in his unshorn locks.
Here a cool Delilah looks at us as a henchman arrives to put out Samson’s eyes.
Delilah #2 seems more accommodating with her smiling offer of refreshment but our hero’s fate is predetermined. I surprise myself sometimes at how one can pull form out of the ether with paint but I guess that’s why one stays in the game!
