This week, in honour of the American election process we see on the news these days, we shall feature a picture from my drawings page which has waited patiently for a reason to come forth. I call it “Madhouse”.
Drawn freely and without erasure, I find the marks here combine to produce dramatic effect. The inmates have lost touch with reality and seem to be seeking help or escape, but the figure in the doorway suggests there may be violence before order is restored.
As for the vote down south, may saner heads prevail!
