I have been getting back to work on my website, and finally got around to posting some of my paintings. I have attached a picture of one of my family’s favourite pictures, based on Shakespeare’s Midsummer Night’s Dream.
I saw this play when I was young and it greatly impressed me. Characters from literature and mythology continue to drive my work. Here, Titania, Queen of the Fairies (under the influence of a love potion) declares her love to Bottom the Weaver, as the troublemaker Puck looks on.
