Nymph and Satyr : Part II

We are back again in the land of pre-human social interaction.

Nymph and Satyr by Barry Trower (1996).

This oval composition is another take on last weeks theme. I like the contrast in their expressions.

Nymph and Satyr by Barry Trower (2007).
Nymph and Satyr (2007).

This version is perhaps the simplest looking but the one I am most proud of. From the crazy springiness of the lines to the simple separation of the colours, my brush couldn’t do anything wrong that day! Harmonious simplicity, as Nabokov put it.

I hope you have enjoyed this weeks offering! See you next week with a brand new theme.

Humbly yours,

Barry
